With so much destruction and devastation done by society through global warming, pollution and other things, we’re beginning to see that damage come out first hand. The arctic’s ice is melting, causing concern for rising ocean levels and the loss of natural habitat for polar bears and other native animals to the area. While the refuge certainly has plenty to offer from a economic resource perspective (logging, oil, etc.), it’s important to take action now and do our best to protect the Earth’s natural environments.
