There's still time to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge by taking action. Here are five things you can do TODAY:
1. Contact your member of Congress
By either sending the letter or calling the offices of both your Senators and Representatives, you are speaking for the millions of Americans who strongly oppose drilling in the Arctic. To send a letter, simply fill out the form on the homepage.
You can alsolook up your members of Congress, and call to let them know that America wants them to vote against any budget bill that includes Arctic Refuge drilling. Or, call this number to be directly connected to your members of Congress: 1-888-8-WILD-AK. After you make your call, be sure to let us know about it!
2. Attend an Event
All over the country, throughout the summer, Arctic Refuge Action is sponsoring events that demonstrate a simple fact: Americans want the Arctic Refuge to stay wild. Visit our events page to find one near you!
2. Plan an event
Use our Activist Toolkit located at the bottom of this page to plan an event in your community to spread awareness about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Don't forget to email us at events@arcticrefugeaction.org and let us know what you plan to do!
Write a letter to your local newspaper editor and let him know how important this issue is. Help us spread the word about the serious threat against the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge by bringing attention to the issue.
We have organizers and Arctic experts all around the country. Contact someone in your area and ask what else you can do to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
